I was lucky to attend the ORC International employee engagement conference recently at the fabulous Shoreditch Courthouse Hotel. The theme was storytelling which led to some fascinating presentations and insights. The audience was mixed across sectors which provided some great networking opportunities. It was a really friendly event.
My main area of interest was our annual staff survey, as I’m currently project planning for 2018. Although, I also heard about: reward and recognition schemes, vision setting, and establishing values in organisations. As well as some machine learning thrown in!
What did the day cover?
You can see the lowdown at #ORCStories2018 and ORC International’s Youtube film of highlights. My tweets below give a high level summary.

As well as two plenary and Q&A sessions, including the use of sli.do, delegates enjoyed interactive sessions: one-to-ones (in converted tiny courthouse cells!), table exercises and seminars.

About ORC International
ORC International is a leader in the art of business intelligence. They creatively integrate insights to uncover what engages people around the world.
I have worked with ORC International on the Civil Service People Survey and most recently at the Met Police. They approach projects as a partnership and work as an extension to the team. They are also able to share a lot of learning from other organisations they work with.
